This is the Security ID, and it is a
unique identifier for securities at an Exchange level. It is an internal code
that is created and assigned by EDI.

Equity, and Preference Shares.

does Divseqnum mean? |
| A |
This is the Dividend Sequential Number,
and it is unique identifier that represents where the dividend is in the
sequence of dividend announcements for that security. So basically it is a
sequential counter for each dividend. It is an internal code that is created
and assigned by EDI.

does Divelement mean? |

If a combination of dividends are
announced the number will rise i.e. when you have an ordinary and special
dividend, for the same security

does Acttime mean? |
| A |
This is the last time anything was changed
for that particular line of information.

What
do the following letters in the Actflag field stand for? |
| A |
This is the action identifier for the announcement. There are several possible
types of action:
I – stands for insert. This signifies that the announcement is new in
the system.
U – stands for Update. This shows that additional information has been
issued for an existing record.
A– stands for full alignment. This is assigned to those dividends that
were present when a new client received the full database. It allows for easy
interpretation of new dividends when combined with the Insert action flag.
C – stands for Cancel. This happens when a company decides to cancel a
dividend that had been previously announced.

does Exflag mean? |

This field can only be populated by a Yes or No. It signifies that the source
did not give us the ex date, for that particular dividend but due to some rules
of date calculation that we have, we have been able to calculate the Ex Date.

This field can only be populated by a Yes or No. It signifies that the source
did not give us the record date, for that particular dividend but due to some
Rules of date calculation that we have, we have been able to calculate the
Record Date.

This field can only be populated by a Yes or No. It signifies that the source
did not give us the pay date, for that particular dividend but due to some
Rules of date calculation that we have, we have been able to calculate the
Record Date.

Approximate Flag - This field can only be populated by a Yes or No. This field
will only be flagged if the pay rate is an estimate.

you search for dividends (using the web) between a specific date range? |

Yes, this can be done by going to the Calendar section on the top right
hand side of the screen.

Can I
track a list of companies that are in my portfolio? |

Yes, this can be done by going to the Portfolio Manager on the top right hand
side and following the instructions from there.

Is
there a way of being alerted if a security that is contained in my portfolio
announces a dividend? |

Yes, once you have imported your portfolio
in Portfolio Manager, type in your e-mail address in the Email Notification box
that is provided.
