Additional Services: Worldwide Shares Outstanding (WSO)

Shares outstanding are used for a wide and diverse range of activities; calculating share stakes, regulatory reporting levels and capitalisation figures to name a few. It can also be used to monitor name and code changes, new issues, sector trends and for country by country analysis.

With this service firms can easily access shares outstanding figures from over 100 countries. The data is sourced directly from local exchanges, or from company sources and official internal listing levels information, and covers all the major securities listed.

EDI’s WSO service enables companies to efficiently calculate figures to comply with exchange regulations or portfolio holding levels.

The data is delivered daily or weekly via FTP or the Internet according to your requirements.

Adjusted Shares Outstanding

In addition to our Worldwide Shares Outstanding service, we now provide a feed of adjusted shares outstanding figures.

The frequency at which official figures are updated can be variable from daily to annual but yet corporate actions can happen in between and have a significant impact on the share outstanding figures.

With EDI's Adjusted Shares Outstanding feed firms get accurate figures enabling them to get more precise projections.

After the following events, EDI adjusts the shares outstanding figures and then reverts to the official figures when they have been published:

  • Bonus
  • Bonus Rights
