{"id":29642,"date":"2022-06-22T17:20:22","date_gmt":"2022-06-22T16:20:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.exchange-data.com\/?p=29642"},"modified":"2025-09-13T08:14:53","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T07:14:53","slug":"edi-celebrate-commitment-to-real-living-wage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.exchange-data.com\/es\/edi-celebrate-commitment-to-real-living-wage\/","title":{"rendered":"EDI Celebrate Commitment to Real Living Wage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><small><small><\/p>\n<h2>Exchange Data International (EDI) has today been accredited as a Living Wage Employer!<\/h2>\n<p><\/small><\/small><\/center><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at EDI receive a minimum hourly wage of \u00a311.05, significantly higher than the government minimum for over 23s, which currently stands at \u00a38.91 per hour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EDI is based in London, a region where nearly a fifth of all jobs (17.2%) pay less than the real Living Wage &#8211; around 700,000 jobs. Despite this, EDI has committed to pay the real Living Wage and deliver a fair day\u2019s pay for a hard day\u2019s work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Corinne Johns, Head of HR at EDI,<\/strong> said,\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEDI is proud to have achieved the real Living Wage accreditation. EDI&#8217;s commitment to paying the real Living Wage shows that we are a fair, reputable employer that values its people. By doing the right thing, we are seeking to attract talented individuals now and in the future to grow our business\u00bb<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum. Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to over 300,000 people and put over \u00a31.6 billion extra into the pockets of low paid workers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Katherine Chapman, Director, Living Wage Foundation, said:<\/strong> \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that EDI has joined the movement of almost 9,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Chapman added:<\/strong> \u201cThe businesses accredited recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they, like EDI, believe that a hard day\u2019s work deserves a fair day\u2019s pay.\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exchange-data.com\/careers\/?utm_source=EDI&amp;utm_medium=Living_Wage_Announcement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.exchange-data.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EDI-Hiring.png\" alt=\"EDI Hiring Page - CTA \" width=\"90%\" align=\"center\" hspace=\"10\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exchange Data International (EDI) has today been accredited as a Living Wage Employer!
