As 2023 rapidly comes to an end, Exchange Data International (EDI) would like to share with you what we have accomplished this year.

Award-Winning Data Provider

This year, we have for a third time (2019, 2022, 2023), been awarded “Best Corporate Action Provider Data Provider” with the Data Management insight award. Corporate Action is a core product of EDI and we are proud to be, once again, recognized as the best provider.

Our New Investment Funds Products

We have introduced the Irish and Luxembourg Funds Data Services to further widen the scope of our Investment Funds coverage. Our Irish Funds Service covers over 30,000 share class funds from more than 200 fund management companies, while our Luxembourg Funds Service covers more than 50,000 share class funds from over 400 fund management companies. Adding both Irish and Luxembourg Funds Data Service gets us closer to our objective of covering all tradable assets in the market.

Together Doing Data Differently

We can’t believe it has almost been a year since EDI and PRS Group partnered to provide geopolitical risk rating and forecasting series to their clients in the banking and corporate world.

Just last month, EDI and CTD Indices (CTDI) partnered to provide access to customized indices for the global financial service industry. CDTI’s high quality benchmarks measure economic activity, and also anticipate how investors, trading on exchanges, will be impacted by movement.

Jonathan Bloch, CEO at EDI Jonathan Bloch, EDI CEO. “EDI is pleased to offer these specialist indices as China becomes a larger player in the international capital markets. Despite political tensions with the USA and its allies, China’s economy is going to play an increasing role in the world economy and these indices allow benchmarking for investments.”

In March, BigTXN appointed EDI as an authorized reseller of their Global Sanctions Monitoring (GSM) service. GSM identifies the explicit stated sanctions as well as implied sanctioned entities and their linked financial instruments. Investment firms use GSM to comply with pre and post-trade sanctions requirements, as well as to screen their investment portfolio and make sure their trade and restrictions lists are up to date.

SimCorp and EDI have also built a partnership. The integration of our Worldwide Corporate Actions Service within SimCorp offers clients access to comprehensive information on all corporate actions events affecting global equities. We are using the ISO 15022 format to deliver this data as it ensures a smooth data integration process.

EDI and BIQH are continuing their collaboration as data vendor and data management solution. Together, our goal is to mutually leverage our products and services to financial institutions.

EDI has partnered with MT Newswires to offer EDI clients real-time global business and financial news. MT Newswires’ flagship product, Live Briefs PRO Global Markets, delivers premium intra-day commentary and breaking news equities, fixed income, commodities, foreign exchange (FX), global economics, and more.

This year, EDI has improved the access to and the delivery of our Data.
Our clients can now find/request certain of our services on Snowflake. By using this platform, we aim to make our service more accessible to you. We offer services such as USD Based foreign exchange rates with 1 or 5 year rolling history.

EDI’s data is now available on Neudata. Neudata offers a catalogue of alternative dataset reports. These allow customers to easily discover, manage and compare data. Neudata primarily serves hedge funds, asset managers, private equity firms, and investment banks by helping them access valuable data not typically found in conventional market data sources.

We are now data vendors on Eagle Alpha. The platform gives easy access to data sourcing, discovery, prioritization and trial data facilitation. To access our products, create a profile.

We are happy to share the addition of three key offerings to the Techsalerator Data Marketplace: Global End of Day Pricing, Global Corporate Actions, and Global Security Reference Data. By adding these offerings onto Techsalerator, a one-stop source for global data acquisition, customers now have access to a wider range of data options.

Updates to Corporate Actions

The importance of timely access to Corporate Actions is crucial for investors to make informed decisions. In addition to delivering corporate actions through SFTP and a live web interface, this year, EDI has added four different ways for clients to receive corporate actions. Learn more about the criticality of corporate actions in investment.

The Readable Corporate Action Notices (RCAN) allow the corporate actions notices to be read like news, making information easier to share and understand.US Style Feed incorporates the exact naming conversion used by US exchanges. Corporate Action Alert Files give clients notice of upcoming effective and past dates on many event types. The alerts frequencies can be programmed, and clients can receive an alert up to 30 days before the required date becomes effective. Lastly, EDI’s API Developer platform now offers the Corporate Action Service as well.

EDI’s commitment to develop its Worldwide Corporate Actions Service, in order to meet client’s ever changing needs, can be seen in the increase of fields and feeds covered.
