A structured database transforms Form 5500 filings into actionable insight covering 60,000 plans, 450+ asset managers, and 6,500+ funds
New York, United States // September 15, 2026 – Exchange Data International (EDI) has launched Form 5500 Defined Contribution Plan Data in partnership with Axiomatic Data, providing asset managers and wealth management platforms with structured intelligence from the complex US retirement plan market.
Form 5500 filings contain valuable information about retirement plans, sponsors, fund investments, service providers, and fees, but this data is scattered across thousands of regulatory documents. The new offering extracts and standardizes this information, including detailed fund holdings from Schedule H filings that competitors typically skip.
Features include:
- Coverage of 60,000 plans, 450+ asset managers, and 6,500+ funds
- Fund holdings intelligence and service provider data
- 200+ pre-computed data elements across 20 categories
- Three years of historical data with quarterly updates

«The retirement plan market contains a significant amount of valuable information, but it is very difficult to process, and it is mixed with complex regulatory filings.’’ said Jonathan Bloch, CEO of Exchange Data International. ‘’By partnering with Axiomatic Data to transform Form 5500 filings into structured data, we help professionals spend less time processing information and more time understanding the market dynamics and identifying the opportunities.’
«Building the data is only half the job. It needs to reach the people who can act on it. EDI has spent decades getting trusted financial data into the hands of institutions worldwide. This partnership puts our Form 5500 intelligence in front of the asset managers and investment professionals who need it most,» said Steve Goldstein, Partner at Axiomatic Data.
